Someone turned the moon completely off.
What skill! He certainly must be proud
to have been reckoned good enough.
Oh wait. It was only a passing cloud.

God, what an overly awesome kid
to have had to him revealed so profound
a side still remaining as totally hid!
Someone’s got the moon tightly controlled
setting the course on which she now rides.
Either that, or he’s taking credit for the hold
exerted on her by the pull of the tides.
Someone made the moon disappear.
Sadly, no more captivating displays
of whatever it was that someone’d made clear
unless this turns out to be just a phase.
Someone turned the moon inside out
so we can see what it’s made of
and know what it’s light is all about.
